TWO ambitious writers from Ealing are appealing for help to complete the remaining five episodes of their comedy web series.

Friends since their school days at Notting Hill and Ealing High School, South Ealing residents Hannah Lane, 26, and Suzie Preece, 26, started discussing ideas for Turn Me Online at The New Inn, Ealing.

Suzie, a trained actress and star of the show, said: “For me, this is like a scripted lovechild.

“I’m very protective of Turn Me Online – we did all the ground-work ourselves and, to go from a small idea over a pint in The New Inn, to what we’ve got now… well, we’re very proud indeed.”

The script writing and filming of the first episode took the couple almost a year to complete.

Co-writer Hannah said: “We have always based the main character around our own personality. She is in her mid-20s and not sure what she wants out of life. It is a character we hope speaks to a lot of other people out there.”

The duo created an online funding campaign on Indiegogo, from which they hope to raise £3,000 for production of the remaining five episodes.

They also revealed they already know what is going to happen to their main character, Alice, should they embark on a second series.

The pair hope to take Turn Me Online to The London Raindance Festival this September and submit the series to commissioning editors, such as Sky, BBC 3 and Channel 4.

Their funding campaign started on May 12 and will close on June 8.
