IMPROVED street lighting in key crime hotspots across Ealing borough will cost £102,000.

Nine areas will benefit, including New Broadway and Mattock Lane in Ealing, as well as Uxbridge Road and Copley Close in Hanwell.

The council worked with police to select locations through analysis of crime statistics and intelligence about areas at higher risk of criminal activity and anti-social behaviour.

The latest improvements should be completed in November. It will mean 24 locations have been given improved lighting since 2011.

The latest wave of lighting improvements will take place in the following locations: Uxbridge Road, Hanwell; Uxbridge Road, West Ealing; Uxbridge Road, Ealing; New Broadway, Ealing; The Broadway, Ealing; Copley Close, Hanwell; Mattock Lane, Ealing / West Ealing.
