A FORMER GB Olympic bobsledder from Ealing has returned to the slopes to join the BBC commentary team in Sochi.
Colin Bryce is on sabbatical leave from his PE teaching job at Portland Place School, Marylebone, to offer his sporting knowledge at the 22nd Winter Olympics.
Colin said he was thrilled to revisit the nostalgia of his former sport.
“Great Britain has some fantastic medal-winning opportunities in the sliding events this Olympics,” he said.
These are his fourth Olympics as a BBC commentator and he has covered the only two medals GB has won in modern times.
From the Sanki Sliding Centre, Colin is providing the commentary for the bobsleigh, skeleton and luge.
He is particularly looking forward to the women’s skeleton as he believes Lizzy Yarnold and Shelly Rudman could be medal winners.
Ealing’s Olympian represented Great Britain in the bobsleigh at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City and he has high hopes for John Jackson and the present bobsleigh team.
Coverage is being featured live on BBC2 and on the red button.
