A MURDER investigation has been launched following the death of a man in Greenford and detectives are appealing for witnesses and information.
Police were called at around 5.20pm on Friday to reports of a man stabbed in Ruislip Road.
Ambulance crew also attended and the man was taken to St Mary's Hospital, where he died later that evening.
He has been identified as Dean Mayley, 24, of Northolt.
An incident room is open at Hendon under Det Chief Insp Matt Bonner from the Homicide and Major Crime Command.
Inquiries are ongoing and a post-mortem will be scheduled.

There have been no arrests at this stage.
