A FIRE at the Royal Mail delivery office in Mandeville Road, Northolt, on Monday evening caused a temporary interruption to work, but operations have now returned to normal.
The blaze damaged the loading bay and four vehicles, but the mail was unharmed.
Four fire engines from Northolt and Southall were called out and the fire was under control within an hour.
Delivery work was temporarily relocated to Greenford mail centre while structural damage to the bay was assessed.
Police say the cause of the fire is not connected to bonfire night.
