A widely respected academic who has published work on ethics and management for the London think tank The Social Market Foundation. He also writes a newspaper column.
A former governor of Northumbria University from 2001 to 2003.
He was born in January 1966 and has a first class hons degree in politics and history from the LSE.
He is now a reader in business ethics at the Newcastle Business School, in Northumbria University.
Mr Beadle has been a councillor for the Low Fell ward in Gateshead since 1996.
He is married with two children.
