Cultures come together in Uxbridge

INDIAN drummers, a steel band and African dancers will be among others at a multi-cultural event next week.
The Connecting Communities day organised by Hillingdon Council will see an array of performances from around the world on Saturday, July 19.
In and around the Civic Centre in High Street, Uxbridge, performers from across the borough will join in to highlight the "diversity" of the borough.
Ian Edwards, head of partnerships and community engagement at the council, said: "The celebration is an exciting, vibrant and diverse event that will see performers and artists from across the borough coming together to entertain local people."
