Arcadia application to be considered
A PLANNING meeting to decide the fate of controversial proposals for the redevelopment of an Ealing shopping centre will now be held on Thursday, February 28.
Councillors were originally due to consider an application to build a 40-storey tower along with a new shopping centre development on the site of the existing Arcadia Centre, on Thursday, February 14.
However, the council has had to push the date back a fortnight because planners from the Mayor of London's office are only meeting to agree their initial response to the proposals on February 6.
Papers for the planning meeting must be published at least a week before it goes ahead, and these should include the guidance from the Mayor of London.
The meeting will be held in Victoria Hall at Ealing Town Hall, rather than the council chamber, because of the anticipated public interest.
