CHANGES have been made to plans for a new development in the heart of Ealing.

Residents are being given more time to have their say on plans for the Arcadia Centre in the Uxbridge Road.

Irish firm Glenkerrin has made alterations to the outside of the 26-storey tower which dominates the plans.

The changes see the original copper finish on the veneer replaced with a new wooden balconies, running right around the outside of the four separate blocks.

If approved the development will bring more than 500 more homes into the centre of Ealing, as well as providing a new shopping area aimed at high end retail.

The deadline for people wishing to comment on the proposals has been extended from this Friday, November 28, to Friday December 5.

Councillors will meet on Wednesday, December 17 to decide whether to grant consent to the project.
