Boston Manor residents get new copies of Arcadia letters

NEW letters will be sent out to residents in one Hanwell street after complaints empty envelopes were delivered instead of planning application details.

Lorena Martin, 44, of Cawdor Crescent, Boston Manor, had three envelopes which should have contained information on the Arcadia Planning Application pushed through her door on Monday, November 3.

However, she says she was left baffled when she opened them to find they contained nothing.

She said: “It begs the question how many other people around the borough had this problem, or did not even get one of these envelopes?

“My elderly neighbour also had two empty envelopes pushed through her door, but she can't get online to find out what the application looks like.

“I think they should push back the closing date to allow people who haven't received the information to have their say.”

Claire Parker, a spokesman for the council, said: "Our distribution company will be returning to Cawdor Crescent tomorrow to redeliver the consultation documents and carry out spot checks on other homes to ensure residents received their letters."

However, she said the closing date for responses on the plans for Ealing Town Centre, which include a 26-storey tower, will not be delayed.
