COUNCILLORS will decide this evening whether to raise objections to a controversial shopping development in the heart of Ealing.

Officers at Hillingdon Council have recommended by officers to raise a formal objection to the Arcadia development because, it claims, there has not been no proper retail assessment on the impact on surrounding towns.

A planning committee will decide whether to lodge an objection to the development by Irish firm Glenkerrin, which includes a 40-storey tower and almost 20,000 square metres of retail space.

The deadline for all responses to the consultation in this Thursday, December 13.
