WINNERS of an Olympic competition for children and young people in Ealing have been presented with their tickets to athletics and women’s hockey at the Games.
The presentation took place at a celebration event at the Horizons Centre in Hanwell.
The centre provides young people in care and those who have recently left care with practical support and advice, as well as help with professional training and personal development.
The winners were chosen after they wrote a piece explaining why they should go to the Games.
Student Nikash Gill is among those will be going to the Olympic Park to watch athletics. He said: “It’s a chance in a life time opportunity.”
Those going to the hockey may have the chance to cheer on two Team Ealing GB athletes in Hannah Macleod and Anne Panter.
