STUDENTS at a Barnet school are entering the final leg of a huge fundraising effort for a cancer charity.
Each of the 37 tutor groups at Ravenscroft School has been challeneged to raise £100 in 100 days, in a variety of ways.
The cash is set to go to the Macmillan Centenary Challenge, which has asked 100 schools in London to take part.
Events so far have included a skipathon, which European middleweight boxing champion Darren Baker helped with and several sixth formers have completed a 5km run with teachers.
Jennie Tilley, who is leading the school’s push, said “Our students are extraordinary and passionate individuals who aren't content to stand still when it comes to helping others. “They want to make a difference and their drive and determination has certainly seen them do that.
“It has allowed the whole school community to participate, have fun and raise money for a fantastic charity that everyone can relate to.”
Pupils have 30 school days left to reach the target.
