Enjoy a new type of Indian cuisine at Satya Restaurant

3:12pm Thursday 5th January 2006

BRAND new Indian restaurant Satya is inviting you to experience delicious and authentic south Indian cuisine.

Things are done differently at Satya. There are no vindaloos or madras on this menu. Instead they have taken recipes from the heart of the Keralan area of India and are now cooking them for the good people of west London.

Kerala is located on the southern tip of India and food from this region is more delicately spiced and flavoured than other Indian food. This makes it ideal for those of you looking for something truly authentic as well as being accessible to people who have not tried Indian cuisine before.

Owner Mr Parekh is vastly experienced when it comes to running the best Indian restaurants. He already owns two more in London called Vijay and Rams.

Vijay has been established since 1964 and celebrities like Harrison Ford, Kylie Minogue and Larry Hackman have dined there. His other restaurant Rams won the Time Out restaurant of the year in 2003.

This dining experience is now available to you. All you have to do is visit Satya in Rockingham Road, Uxbridge.

On entering the restaurant you will be greeted by a more modern approach to an Indian restaurant.

Wooden floors and bright colours replace the traditional carpet and flock wallpaper to make dining at Satya a visual as well as a taste experience.

The food is prepared fresh to order by the chef at Satya who has more than 20 years of experience in this type of cuisine.

The menu's stand-out dishes include masala dosar, a light, thin and crispy pancake filled with spicy potatoes and fried onions. This mouthwatering starter is served with a spicy chutney which perfectly complements the flavours of the pancake.

For your main course you cannot go wrong with the speciality at Satya, Keralan ginger chicken. The special fusion of herbs and spices used to create this dish give it a is spicy yet delicate sweetness.

The dish is very light and you will find the taste lingers on your tongue perfectly after every mouthful.

Eating at Satya also means you are eating perfectly cooked food with no artificial colouring or flavourings, just fresh ingredients cooked well.

Dishes at Satya are also healthier than you will find in most Indian restaurants. Many of the dishes are cooked using vegetable oil rather than the clarified butter known as ghee.

It's not just the evenings that Satya cater for. If you are looking for something different for your lunch rather than a sandwich that has been sitting in a plastic box for a couple of days then try the Satya lunchtime special.

For just £6.50 you can eat as much as you like from their special buffet between noon and 3pm, Monday to Friday.
