BIG Brother star Makosi Musambasi said she will always love nursing despite resigning from Wycombe Hospital to become a housemate.

The 24-year-old, from High Wycombe, left her job weeks before she joined the Channel 4 reality TV show because she says hospital bosses refused to give her the time off to take part.

However Makosi, a cardiac nurse, says she still loves the nursing profession.

She told Midweek: "I'm a nurse at heart and nursing is not all about working in a hospital.

"Nursing is anything to do with humanity and I am always going to have people at heart in whatever I do, be it in a hospital, be it in a magazine, be it in a press conference."

Big Brother is one of the most popular reality TV shows in which 12 people live in a house away from the outside world and all forms of media and are all constantly watched by the public.

Each week the public vote off their least favourite housemate until there is one eventual winner of the cash prize, which this year was £50,000.

The Zimbabwean-born nurse received one of the worst receptions in the programme's history after finishing third in the show's final and received only 8.7 per cent of the votes.

She was booed and heckled throughout her live interview with the show's presenter Davina McCall because of claims she had made during the programme about having sex with the show's winner Anthony Hutton.

And Makosi reckoned that the fact that people thought she had lied about having sex in the pool cost her the top prize.

She said: "Anthony was the politically correct person to win.

"Anthony is an amazing guy but if people had not misunderstood me about that pool incident, I probably would have won."

Makosi was favourite to win the show for a number of weeks until her revelations about antics in the house led to her downfall.

An article about her being an actress less than 48 hours before the final also went against her.

She said: "I am not an actress. I'd love to be an actress, I would love to do Hollywood, the works.

"I was nothing but Makosi. Go to Wycombe Hospital and ask them about Makosi and they will be like that was her'.

"I wasn't an actor at all. I have never been to acting school.

"I haven't had any acting training but if I do, Halle Berry move out of the way."

There are claims that Makosi could soon be booted out of the UK as her working permit only allows her to stay in the country if she works as a nurse.

She also reportedly failed to let immigration know that she had resigned from her job at Wycombe Hospital.

She said: "I love Britain and I want to stay in the UK.
