POLICE staff will now be on hand to take non-emergency enquiries at the new council customer centre.
Ealing Police, in partnership with Ealing Council, have positioned a new police enquiry desk within the new centre at Perceval House, Uxbridge Road, Ealing, which will be manned from Monday to Friday between the hours 8.30am and 5pm.
Belinda Taylor, the council's director of customer services, said: "The fact that we have put this partnership in place is a real step forward in providing Ealing residents with more joined up services. Although the police cannot provide emergency assistance they will have a range of services on offer."
Police staff will be able to help with enquiries such as producing driving documents, reporting lost property, reporting a road traffic accident, notifying police of a change of registered address for foreign nationals and to request an application form. All other enquiries and the reporting of crime must be done through the main police stations.
