I would like to congratulate Southall's MP, Piara Khabra, for standing up for the people of his constituency ( 'Job cuts 'devastating' Times, February 21).
He is absolutely right, the lay-offs at Heathrow will be devastating for many families in Southall.
I hope that his meeting with Tony Blair goes well and I hope that the pair of them can think of some way of bringing work back to this part of west London.
