COUNCILLOR John Cudmore, Labour Leader of Ealing Council, has described the Mayor of London's proposed 34.5 per cent budget increase as 'unnecessary and unfair'. He said it would mean a significant burden on Ealing Council taxpayers, adding nearly six per cent to the Council Tax bill (around £70 for a band D property). A final decision on Council Tax will be made on February 26.
