The story begins with the newly weds played by Courtney Dixon and Adan Heron. All is well as you would expect with a newly married couple, they have the excitement of a new marriage, are constantly invited to social engagements, and are settling into a new home. The only snitch is, that poor Francessa (Dixon) is finding it difficult to find complete satisfaction: sexually that is. Roberto (Heron) is trying is his best to display his full sexual quality, but too is lacking the desire. The couple make constant excuses and find ways to ignore the solution, that is until Roberto's sexy, confident and cool friend Jack (David Imani) comes to know of the problem. Jack, who is openly bisexual tries to lend a helping hand, in more ways that you can imagine. The couple are eternally grateful to Jack for saving the day, and want to show their appreciation. Francessa takes it upon herself to "thank" Jack personally, and Jack loving the attention, plays along. On the other side, Roberto personally "thanks" Jack as well, and it is revealed that Jack has had feelings for Roberto all along. What begins is a complex, spiral twist of lies and deceit, all to make sure that no "C-Kret" is revealed Director Miguel Bocanegra Chavez does an exceptional job of taking a European "gutsy" subject and adding the reality of life to it. He manages to make you feel sympathy for all three leads, even though the bizzare circumstances make you feel otherwise. Courtney Dixon looks great and delivers great scenes with David Imani, especially when she begs him to stay with her. Adam Heron fools you very well in the first half and has great chemistry with both Dixon and Imani, a challenge which he overcomes with ease. David Imani portrays "sex" as soon as he hits the screen. He has excellent screen presence and delivers a more than convincing portrayal of Jack. His comedic timing is somewhat different of what would be expected, but it works everytime. He stands out in his two scenes, one with Dixon where she begs him to stay and the latter where he begs Heron to stay with him. The combination of these two scenes will leave you laughing and at the same time feeling sorry for his character. Imani boosts the pace of the film as soon as he enters and keeps the energy at a high level throughout, making your interest deepen as the film progresses. To say that he has done justice to his lead role, would be an understatement Director Chavez admitted recently that he never thought the film would be received so well as the subject is too bold. The film has done wonders at all European film festivals and has flagged attention for all three leads, with Imani signing opposite Hollywood actor Christin Slater, and Dixon and Heron bagging international projects You may ask, well what is the secret? We suggest watch C-Krets!!!
