YOUTH and disabled charities and community groups have the chance to win a slice of a Times cash grant.
Lucky charity organisations will win up to £5,000 being offered to communities across the UK and USA by the Times' American owners, Gannett.
Applications are being welcomed by community groups which engage and involve young people and also projects that benefit people with special needs either through disability or disadvantage.
Last year our sister paper the Hillingdon Times awarded young persons charity the Hillingdon Carers a cash grant of £5,000 to help towards their organisation.
Bernadette Ziuziakowska, chief officer at Hillingdon Carers, said at the time: "We saw a piece about it in the paper and thought we would have a go and apply for a grant, and now I am so glad we did."
More details are on our website at www.ealingtimes.co.uk/gannettfoundation where a copy of the application form can be downloaded and printed.
Alternatively send an SAE to Jane Lofthouse-Smith, Gannett Foundation Fund, Ealing Times, Gomm Road, High Wycombe, Bucks, HP13 7DW.
Forms must be returned to the Gomm Road offices before September 19, 2003
