NEW plans for an expanded Tesco in Greenford have been revealed.

The multinational firm held an exhibition of its original plans for the store, in the heart of the town centre, where residents were encouraged to give suggestions.

The firm says it has now taken on board what people said, and has issued changed plans for the store.

Included in the changes are toilets within the store, more places to leave bikes, and the existing shop will now remain open while the changes are made.

A leaflet is being distributed to around 10,000 homes and businesses with details of the new store plans, and people will be able to send in their response.

James Wiggam, corporate affairs manager for Tesco, said: “Since the exhibition, we have been working on more detailed designs to incorporate people’s suggestions.”
