A GANG of pimps and brothel keepers who lured a teenage virgin into a life of sex slavery in the UK have been jailed for a total of more than 50 years today (Tues).

The 16-year-old girl from Slovakia came to this country on the promise of bar work, but was instead forced to work in a series of brothels around the country.

Today six men who were part of two linked human trafficking rings were jailed for crimes ranging from human trafficking, controlling a brothel and controlling a child prostitute at Southwark Crown Court.

The girl was shipped into Peterborough in 2006 by Albanians Eduard Facuna and Martin Pacan, who were both locked up for 11 years for human trafficking. She was then sold to three men, one of whom was another Albanian, Martin Doci.

They took her to a house and one of the men who has never been caught raped her, and then imprisoned her for several days before shipping her to a flat in Ealing where she was made to work as a prostitute.

After a while she was moved back to Peterborough where she was made to have sex with several men a day, and given only £20 out of the £200-£300 she had “earned”, before being moved to a sauna in Luton.

Here she was working for brothel keeper Ali Arslan, 44 who was jailed for 14 years for his part in the ring, and his nephew Mesut Arslan, 26, who was jailed for two-and-a-half years.

While out shopping there one day one of the original men who had trafficked the teen kidnapped her, and took her back to the Ealing flat, where she was regularly beaten and forced to work in several different London brothels.

At one of these brothels she confided in another girl, who gave her an address of a flat in Wood Green. She escaped and made it to the flat, where she was introduced to another group of men and again set to work as a prostitute.

Here she started to work for a man called Valmir Gjetja, a 29-year-old Albanian, and lived with him and his girlfriend in Avon Road, Greenford. During this time he cut her along her back with a knife, threatened her with a handgun, forced her to take cocaine and took her "work" money from her.

In January this year she managed to escape to another flat, but after a few days Gjetja tracked her down and forced his way into the flat, smashing the teenager’s head against a wall and kicking her in the ribs.

Her terrified friend called police, although Gjetja fled before they arrived. He and his co-defendents were rounded up in a series of arrests between December 2007 and May this year.

Gjetja was sentenced to three years in prison for controlling a prostitute for gain.
