A WOMAN was helped to safety by a member of the public after fire broke out in a house in Southall yesterday lunchtime.
Twenty firefighters and four fire engines were called to the blaze in Clifton Road, which broke out just before 1pm.
The rescued woman was treated for smoke inhalation, and the flames were under control just after 2pm. Investigators are still piecing together how the fire started.
