11:11am Monday 6th October 2008

A WOMAN is fighting for her life in hospital after being strangled at her home in Southall.

Shreen Khan, 37, is on a life support machine in hospital after she was attacked at her home in Hillary Road at around 9.30pm on Saturday night.

Next door neighbour Sultan Cheema, 73, told the Ealing Times: “My wife and children were sat downstairs but I had gone to bed, and they heard a lot of screaming and shouting going on.

“My wife was afraid and so she called the police, and then about eight police cars came up the road and an ambulance and they all ran in next door.”

Police say Mrs Khan is in a critical condition in hospital.

A man in his 40s has been arrested in connection with the attack.
