Five schools still waiting on SATs

HUNDREDS of children have still not received results for exams they sat in May, three months after they were due.

Five schools in the borough, four primary schools and a high school, have been caught up in the SATs paper marking scandal, which has led to a very slow turnaround for papers this year.

Year six pupils from Selbourne Primary in Perivale and Oldfield Primary in Greenford are still waiting for some English results from their Key Stage Two tests.

Youngsters from the same year at the Edward Betham Primary schools in Greenford are missing Science results, and Key Stage two Maths papers still have not been returned to Southfields Primary in Chiswick.

Year nine pupils from the Ellen Wilkinson School for Girls in Ealing are all still waiting for results of their English writing exams.

Earlier this year the Government dissolved a multi-million pound contract with ETS, who they blamed for the scandal.
