CHANGES have been submitted to a major planning application which could help shape the future of the borough.
Two of the taller blocks in the DIckens Yard development have been scaled down after heavy criticism of the plans from local pressure group Save Ealing’s Centre, an amalgamation of more than 20 community groups.
A new consultation has today been opened by Ealing Council after developers St George put in changes, which also include the addition of three-bedroom homes in the affordable housing part of the plans, and the introduction of shared-ownership properties after a request from the local authority.
The consultation on the new plans is open until Monday, October 13, and the plans are due to be considered by the council’s planning committee on Wednesday, November 5.
