DO you have any books you could donate to Ealing Hospital?

It wants to reintroduce its book trolley service for patients after an absence of several years and is looking for donations to boost its stock.

Books should be in a reasonable condition with no broken spines or loose pages.

The trust is interested in classics, thrillers, romance, general fiction, young adults, large print and foreign language.

Rain Wolfe, 16, started the appeal off by donating 40 of her own books.

She said: “I was in hospital twice with pneumonia when I was younger and books really helped pass the time. I know they are going to a good home.”

Donations can be left at the Friends’ Café at Ealing Hospital.
