ACADEMIC staff from the University of West London’s School of Computing and Engineering took part in their own fiercely-contested version of MasterChef.
The event was at Pillars, UWL’s training restaurant, where Hospitality Tourism students provide dining experiences to the public.
More than 250 students enjoyed the lunchtime tasting and judging session and were impressed by the range and quality of German, Italian, Indian, Pakistani, and Persian dishes prepared by the 17 contestants.
Taste of Mesopotamia, comprising Dr Sama Aleshaiker and Dr Laden Husamaldin, were joint winners with The Persians, Dr Reza Keihani and PHD researcher Maryam Keyhani.
Best Technical Dish went to The Italians, who created hand-made gnocchi with separate meat and cheese sauces.
