THREE Wetherspoon pubs in Ealing have won acclaim for their toilets – in the Loo of the Year Awards 2023.
The Greenwood Hotel in Whitton Avenue West, Northolt, was awarded a platinum plus rating by inspectors and The Red Lion & Pineapple in Acton High Street and The Sir Michael Balcon in The Mall, Ealing a platinum rating.
Loo of the Year inspectors made unannounced visits to thousands sites across the UK. They are graded silver, gold, platinum, platinum plus or diamond with unacceptable toilets not graded at all.
Criteria include décor and maintenance, cleanliness, accessibility, hand washing and drying equipment and overall management.
Greenwood Hotel manager Ben Johnston, said: "Staff ensure the toilets are in excellent condition at all times and it is great this has been recognised."
