Brothers barred from Acton estate

TWO brothers who preyed on vulnerable people have been told not to return to an Acton estate by a judge.

Drug addicts Matthew and Christopher Evans forced vulnerable elderly residents on the South Acton Estate to let them stay in their homes, and then invited their friends round and stole money from their hosts.

Ealing Homes, the housing group which runs it, said they were also notorious for hanging around communal areas using drugs.

Now the pair have been handed an order by Brentford County Court, forbidding them from entering the estate at any time, or risk being sent to prison.

Harps Dhaliwal, the antisocial behaviour officer for Ealing Homes, said: "We will continue to work closely with the police to prevent unauthorised people from entering our estates to use or supply drugs.

"These particular individuals preyed on vulnerable elderly residents who were forced into allowing them to stay in their property. Residents also had money taken and had to endure numerous visitors partaking in drug-related activities.

"This result demonstrates that Ealing Homes will not tolerate this and will always work with the police and residents to ban those responsible."
