A MAN died after a collision between a car and a lorry which brought traffic to a complete standstill for hours.
The accident happened at about 1.12pm today when the two vehicles were in collision in Falling Lane at the junction of Otterfield Road in West Drayton.
The driver of the car was airlifted to Hillingdon Hospital but subsequently died from his injuries. A female passenger in the car was not hurt and did not require any hospital treatment.
The driver of the lorry was also unhurt.
Falling Lane was closed by police for about two hours as officers investigated the scene of the crash. It was re-opened to traffic at 3.30pm.
