A PLAY about the iconic rock and blues venue, The Ealing Club, returns to The Questors Theatre, Ealing, on Saturday, January 7, for one night, by popular demand.

After a sold-out run in October, The Questors and The Ealing Club CIC have announced they will be reviving their production in the Questors’ Judi Dench Playhouse.

This will be followed by a post-show set from acclaimed West London band, The Hornets.

The play was inspired by the feature film, Suburban Steps to Rockland, which explores the musical community that populated The Ealing Club during the 1960s.

The club, opposite Ealing Broadway station, played an historic part in the British rock and blues movement of the time.

The premiere of the show marked the 60-year anniversary of The Rolling Stones' first gig, in Ealing.

Written by Julian Smith in collaboration with The Ealing Club CIC, it follows the lives of five young people, who find an escape from their beige lives in The Ealing Club.

The Hornets have been described by The Ealing Club as “the best thing to come out of West London since The Who.”
