THE council is one of the best in London for collecting council tax, according to figures released today.
Ealing Council failed to collect £141,000 of tax from residents last year, the third best set of figures in London after the City of London and Enfield.
Neighbouring boroughs fared much worse with Brent failing to collect £3.6m, Harrow £1.5m and Hillingdon £997,000 in uncollected rates. Harringey residents failed to pay more than £6m in taxes.
