A SCHIZOPHRENIC from Greenford has gone missing after a visit to hospital.

Police are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of Michael Nelson, 43, who was last seen at around 10.20am at Hillingdon Hospital, in Pield Heath Road, Hillingdon, on February 18.

Mr Nelson had travelled to the hospital with a member of his family, for a dental appointment.

But he left on his own before he was seen by the dentist.

Mr Nelson is described as white, about 5' four inches tall, of slim build, with a fair complexion, brown hair, and is clean-shaven.

He was last seen wearing a grey suit jacket, grey suit trousers, a black jumper and brown shoes.

Mr Nelson suffers from mild schizophrenia and does not have his medication with him, but is not thought to be a risk to himself or members of the public.

However the longer he goes without medication, the more confused and disorientated he is likely to become.

Both Mr Nelson's family and police are increasingly concerned for his welfare as he has not made contact since he disappeared.

Anyone who has seen Mr Nelson or knows of his whereabouts can contact Ealing Police on 0208 246 1212.
