A HUSBAND and wife team will be trekking through the foothills of the Himalayas to raise money for disadvantaged children. Matt and Rena Dunn, of Woodfield Gardens, Ealing, will be trekking in Nepal over ten days to help raise £5,000 for the Children's Society.
This will be the second time they have taken part in a fundraising challenge for the Children's Society. Last year they raised thousands of pounds with a trek to Peru. Matt said: "Me and my wife went to Peru last year to raise money after seeing an advert in Sainsburys. It is something we have always wanted to do and instead of wasting money on ourselves to do these treks we thought it would be a good idea to raise money for charity at the same time. We have been asking friends and family to help but we are also holding a five-a-side football tournament at Highbury football ground in October." Matt and Rena will do the challenge in February next year. To sponsor them call The Children's Society on 0845 300 1128.
