A NEW witness service has been launched in the borough which will provide a
free confidential information.
The service will be based at Ealing Magistrates' Court but will be offered
to all youth and magistrates courts in and around Ealing.
It will provide support for both prosecution and defence witnesses and
their friends and families prior, during and after attendance at court.
Jo Evans, co-ordinator of the Court Witness Service, said: "Going to court
can often be a frightening and intimidating experience for people of all
ages.
"We will support people by providing information and advice throughout
their time in court.
"This is a vital community service managed by professional staff and
trained volunteers from the local area."
If you have been called as a witness and would like to visit the court or
have questions that need answering call 020 8566 4773 for more information
