A NEW café-restaurant in the heart of Ealing has launched with a focus on sustainability, quality produce and community.

Its mission is to turn everyday habits into collective positive change by showing people you can enjoy quality food that’s good for the planet and tastes delicious at the same time.

WS Collective at Dickens Yard, Ealing Broadway, opened its doors this month and is the flagship outlet for the Canteen Collective hospitality group.

Canteen Collective has reached climate-positive status, which means it has gone beyond achieving net-zero carbon emissions to removing more CO2 from the atmosphere than it emits.

Coffee is sourced from a single farmer in Brazil and fruit and vegetables are sourced from Smith and Brock. Milk comes from Brades Farm, where the herd is fed garlic and citrus to reduce methane output.

W5 Collective’s furnishings are created from reclaimed wood and the dining room is decorated with real plants, with a tree in the centre.

Opening times are Monday-Wednesday 7am-6pm, Thursday-Saturday 7am-10pm, Sunday 8am-10pm.
