POLICE are urging children to be on their guard after a teenage girl was chased home by a stranger.

The 16-year-old had just seen her friend off at Northolt Station, Mandeville Road, at about 9.30pm on July 10 before walking home.

A red car pulled up alongside her and the driver asked her where Carr Road was. She said she did not know and carried on walking.

The driver continued talking and the teenager started walking quickly as the car followed her. The man then asked the girl to get in the car but she refused and started running towards her home.

The driver got out of his car and chased her but his victim managed to get home and alert her mother.

The driver is described as Asian, 28 years old with a goatee beard, wearing a white baseball cap, white hooded top and dark coloured trousers.

Information should be given to police on 020 8246 9496
