THE boss of a gang of drug and gun dealers was jailed for five years yesterday.
Ahmed Osman Hersi, 29, was the last of nine members of the gang to be sentenced, following a three-year police investigation into their activities.
Dubbed Operation Pauldings, police seized four kilograms of heroin, 280 rocks of crack cocaine, two Mac10 machine guns, five semi-automatic handguns, a revolver, ammunition, and £300,000, during the investigation.
Hersi, who police say led the gang, used corrupt Wembley lawyer Naveen Sagar to disrupt the officers' inquiries into their activities.
Sagar was jailed on Wednesday, December 5, for 14-and-a-half years, after submitting false alibis and bogus statements to police to impede their work.
Hersi, of Saxon Road, Southall, pleaded guilty at Kingston Crown Court to charges including money laundering, possession of a firearm with intent, possession with intent to supply class A drugs, and handling stolen goods.
