Hersi is in court today. Hersi is in court today.

THE leader of a gang of gun-toting heroin dealers is due to be sentenced today.

Ahmed Osman Hersi, 29, of Saxon Road, Southall, has pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm, money laundering, two counts of possessing a firearm with intent, possession with intent to supply class A drugs, conspiracy to pervert the course of justice, and handling stolen goods.

Police say Hersi led a gang of drug dealers who were caught with machine guns, pistols, drugs, and thousands of pounds, following a three year police operation to stop them.

Hersi is due to appear at Kingston Crown Court later.

Yesterday corrupt lawyer Naveen Sagar, 32, was sentenced to 14-and-a-half years in prison for using his job as a criminal solicitor to try to protect the gang members, arranging false alibis and changing transcripts of conversations between officers and witnesses to imply police corruption.
