A YOUNG mum committed suicide months after a video showing three men laughing as they drugged, stripped and sexually assaulted her while her five-year-old son pleaded for them to stop, was passed around her neighbours.
Jobless Kyle Scott, now aged 21, of Newbury Way, Northolt, was convicted of the attack on 20-year-old mother of two Hayley Jordan by a jury at Isleworth Crown Court on Friday (October 26).
Scott denied a charge of sexual assault by penetration in August 2005 on the mother-of-two at her home in Wheatsheaf Close, Northolt. She died from an overdose ten months later.
The jury and the dead woman's mother had to watch the nauseating footage, which was sent all round the area and shown to various friends.
They also had to watch her video evidence, an emotional voice from beyond the grave, as she talked of the attack and wept at the effect on her children.
Two other men, 22-year-old David Hedges, a removal man of Oxford Drive, Eastcote, and Adam Sorrenti, now 19, a plumber of Raybourn Mead Drive, Ruislip, on whose phone the disturbing video was taken, pleaded guilty to the attack.
The victim and her children had been at a barbecue with Sorrenti and a friend of his, Francis Lowbridge, on the afternoon of the attack, during which time she downed two bottles of wine.
She was helped back to her house by the two men where she passed out on the sofa, before Scott and Hedges arrived.
Prosecuting counsel Beverley Cripps said: "Mr Lowbridge says that Scott, on seeing Ms Jordan lying on the sofa, asked if she was drunk and Sorrenti tried to get her up.
"Scott began to laugh and said Let's do something to her', and then began a series of sexual assaults, done to her as her young son was in the living room."
During the attack, which included penetration with a television remote control, Scott removed her clothing, Hedges did some filming and she was variously molested.
At one point Scott is heard telling Sorrenti to have sex with her.
Mr Lowbridge, who was extremely unhappy with what was happening, took the older child into the kitchen, before taking him upstairs.
But as he was being lead away, he turned and saw the attack and screamed "Don't do that to my mum, please!", a plea which could be heard clearly on the video.
Two distinctive rings also feature in the video, one worn by Sorrenti and the other - which belonged to another man, Alex Rose - is worn by Scott who tried it on before the attack and could not remove it.
There was no immediate complaint because the victim was unconscious, but one person who was shown the film contacted police.
They struggled to identify the victim until the finger was pointed at Sorrenti, who "was heard saying he had given Ms Jordan a pill", said counsel.
Sorrenti's phone was seized by police and in questioning he gave up the name of the victim.
Scott claimed in questioning he had no recollection of the assault and that he was in the garden with Hedges and Lowbridge, but the jury took under an hour to find him guilty.
The three men are due to be sentenced on Friday, November 23.
