Good morning,

A day of warm sunshine awaits ahead of a period of very summery weather where temperatures are likely to reach 30 degrees celcius by Saturday.

Back to today and here's a round-up of what it's like out on the roads this morning.

If you live or work over in east London, a collapsed manhole on the A12 in Leyton is causing huge tailbacks. Two lanes are closed towards Stratford. It means the A12 is gridlocked approaching the lane closures from Newbury Park. Also affecting A406 from where it meets the M11 and the M11 southbound from the M25.

Very heavy traffic in north west London at Brent Cross coming off the M1 and then on the North Circular round to Brent Park.

Slow on A1 southbound approaching Stirling Corner in Borehamwood and busy on Hendon Wood Lane towards Highwood Hill.

M25 slow anticlockwise from j19 for Watford round to the M4 but it is moving.

Unusual queue into Watford on Stephenson Way between the M1 and the bridge at Bushey Mill Lane.

Queues cleared in Hatfield Road, St Albans near Oaklands College.

Severe delays on Circle Line and Hammersmith & City line due to an earlier faulty train at Latimer.
