A CHILDREN’S nursery is celebrating its relocation and re-opening in Hayes with £900,000 of funding from HSBC.

The Coat of Many Colours nursery, owned and operated by The Kingsborough Centre, opened its doors in Church Road.

The team was joined by the Mayor of Hillingdon, Cllr David Yarrow, and the chair of Hayes Town Regeneration, David Brough, for the ribbon-cutting.

The nursery is the second for The Kingsborough Centre, with 80 children already enrolled at its Uxbridge nursery.

The Hayes site was on the brink of closure after its Uxbridge Road lease was unexpectedly terminated in 2018.

However, with funding from HSBC, which included £50,000 to help with the refit, as well as support from the local community, The Kingsborough Centre was able to buy the Church Road building.
