A film crew member was stabbed on a film set at the Warner Bros Studios in Leavesden.

He suffered a wound to his neck at around midday today (Wednesday).

Hertfordshire Constbulary has since confirmed he has been released from hospital following treatment.

A 54-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm. He has since been released on bail until Wednesday, July 17.

It is understood the stabbing took place on the set of 'The Witches' which will star Anne Hathaway and Chris Rock.

Warner Bros has confirmed an incident has taken place.

A spokesperson said: "I can confirm that there was an isolated workplace incident at the Warner Bros studio production facility and the police are now handling the matter."

A spokesperson for Hertfordshire Constabulary said: "Police were called at around 12.35pm on Wednesday to reports of an incident at Warner Bros studio production facility in Leavesden.

"One man, in his 40s, sustained a small laceration to his neck and was taken to hospital by ambulance. He was released later that evening following treatment.

"A second man, who is 54, was arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm and released on bail until Wednesday, July 17.

"The men are known to each other. Enquiries are continuing at this time to establish the full circumstances around what happened."
