A new competition is expanding the world of art in Harrow.
Up to 30 artworks from schools and colleges across the borough are in the process of being chosen by judges for an exhibition at Whitefriars Gallery in Harrow.
The competition is being run on a voluntary basis by artists at Whitefriars Studios, and was set up as a community project to give a boost to local sixth form students. Seeing their work on display in a gallery will give them a platform for their work and help to kickstart potential careers.
The winners of the competition will receive cash prizes and there will be prizes of art products for the finalists.
Shortlisted work will be exhibited from Thursday, June 6, to Monday, June 17, at the Whitefriars Gallery, Winsor & Newton Building, Whitefriars Avenue, Harrow.
