EALING Blues Festival has announced the first wave of artists for its 22nd year, including Nick Lowe

He has been a cornerstone of British music since his 1978 debut album, Jesus Of Cool, and his solo career, which includes collaborations with Johnny Cash and production credits for Elvis Costello, has earned him a reputation as the definitive musician’s musician.

His headline set at Ealing Blues Festival will tap into his catalogue and work with some of the biggest names in music.

Cosimo Matassa Project will be bringing their distinctive New Orleans-inspired sound to Walpole Park, featuring pianist and arranger Al Dunn.

Joining them on the main stage will be The Who tribute band, Who’s Next, in the original band’s spiritual home of Ealing, where they first cut their teeth at The Ealing Club.

The festival is in Walpole Park from July 20-21.

It is part of the Ealing Summer Festivals programme, a series of six events taking place in the borough over June and July.
