AN impressive 58 Air Cadets from the Middlesex Wing came together to receive Jack Petchey Foundation Achievement Awards at Greenford Assembly Hall on Sunday.

The winners, aged 11-25, were given medallions to go with their framed certificate and a cheque for £250 each, already presented.

They were nominated by their peers and leaders, winning awards for a variety of achievements big and small but always for doing their best.

In addition, 14 adults received leader awards.

Middlesex cadets have received £281,498 from the Foundation since funding started in 2007.

Winners included Morgan Neckles, 17, who attends 14F Northolt unit.

She inspires others to do first aid training and is one of the first in Middlesex Wing to get a gold first aid badge for her work.

Morgan is to spend her £250 award on new equipment for the unit.
