PLANNERS in Ealing have given the go-ahead for a 2,000-home regeneration of the former Middlesex Business Centre in Bridge Road, Southall.
The development will include affordable and build-to-rent homes around a one-acre park.
Montreaux’s plans for the 12.4 acre site also involve space for business, shops and community space, a hotel and public green areas.

The scheme should also open up this part of Southall for pedestrians and buses, adjacent to the new Crossrail station. There will be a pedestrian bridge over the railway.
The site includes the former Maypole Works, once the largest producer of margarine in the world, and the Sunrise Radio building.
Work will start this autumn 2019, with the first homes available in spring 2022.
