MORE than 80 young Brentford fans kicked off their half-term with a Meet the Players day at Uxbridge High School yesterday.
Striker Neal Maupay and captain Romaine Sawyers were among those appearing in an event run by Brentford FC Community Sports Trust.
Rob Moles, who took his seven-year-old son, said: “Mason is a massive Brentford fan and events like today are so special to him. As a football club, Brentford are so family-orientated and the players go above and beyond for the local community.”

This sixth annual Meet the Players Day involved a training session with the Trust's FA-qualified coaching staff before the players joined youngsters for a game.
Brentford goalkeeper Dan Bentley said: “In my opinion, professional footballers have a responsibility to the local community and events like today are a fantastic opportunity for children and young Brentford fans to meet us.”
