A MAN arrested on suspicion of murder in Acton has been bailed.

The 33-year-old was taken into custody on Sunday and is on bail until a date in late February.

A murder inquiry was launched after the body of a man, aged 34, was found in a multi-occupancy home in Alfred Road on Sunday morning.

He had been fatally attacked. His immediate next of kin have been informed, as have his extended family members in Poland.

Following a post mortem, cause of death was given as haemorrhage from a stab wound.

Det Chief Insp Katherine Goodwin said: “Our initial enquiries lead us to believe the murder took place at some point in the week leading up to when he was found.

“I would reiterate our appeal for anyone who is local to the area of Alfred Road, or anyone who was in the area last week and saw or heard anything suspicious, to contact my team.”
